Our Approach to AI
AI Policy for MIND Development & Design, LLC
Technology is always evolving. On the web and in software, changes can happen fast. Sometimes, so much changes so quickly that the technology evolves faster than society can keep up with it. That is what we are seeing with AI. It can be difficult to set standards and create specific policies when things are still changing and evolving. Businesses, governments, and other organizations across the board are all navigating this together.
In the technology sector and on the web, it’s not something that can be ignored. Part of remaining a good partner for our clients is having the skills to help you navigate these changes as we’re navigating them ourselves. Our AI policy is still evolving, and anything we put in place needs to align with our core values as a business, and more importantly, as real people who are building real relationships with our clients. We’re here to help, and will continue to do so honestly, authentically, and transparently.
With all of that in mind, here are some of the basic tenets of our approach:
You’re Always Talking to People
Our priorities remain doing good work, building relationships with our clients, and being a partner you can trust. That requires authenticity and real people doing the work. When you’re communicating with us, you’re communicating with real people – not AI clones or bots. We may have templates as starting points for topics that come up consistently, and individuals may use AI as an editing tool at times, but there will always be real people behind the real emails we send to you.
AI Augments Work, It Doesn’t Replace People
AI systems may be used to augment capabilities or in experiments to facilitate necessary solutions, but AI will not replace human-centered development or make critical decisions on your behalf. There will always be human oversight, and any guidance or recommendations we provide are coming from humans, not machines.
Your Data Stays Private
We will not upload or input proprietary or private data to an AI system without the client first acknowledging and approving of it. As part of the approval process, clients have the right to refuse and the ability to opt out of allowing MIND to share proprietary or private information with AI systems. In situations where approved client data is shared with an AI system or platform, it will be done with data security and privacy in mind. We will strive to be good stewards of information in our processes and with any tools that we use.
This Will Keep Evolving
We will strive to remain informed and up-to-date as AI continues to evolve, and make necessary updates to our processes and approach to help our clients navigate shifting technology and online environments.
